Ohio’s First Class Credit Union (OFCCU) is a full service financial institution established in 1932, as Cleveland Postal Employees Credit Union (CPECU). It was the idea of several postal employees who came together because they wanted to help fellow postal employees. They pooled money together to make low interest loans to coworkers. The interest charged on the loan was used to pay dividends to the savers who provided the money for the loans.
