The Credit Union was chartered on February 2, 1966, as the J-O-S Schools Federal Credit Union (Julesburg-Ovid-Sedgwick). The name was changed to Sedgwick County Federal Credit Union on 10-11-67 when it became community chartered. When people from Nebraska asked to join, the charter was expanded to include Deuel County in Nebraska. The name CO-NE Federal Credit Union was then adopted on July 10th, 1984 to reflect the states of Colorado (CO) and Nebraska (NE).
