This First Choice Community Credit Union, Inc. was established on April 28, 1968 by a group of steel workers at Reactive Metals in Niles, Ohio under the name of RMI Company Employees Credit Union, Inc. The original membership count was 434 with assets amounting to $31,471.30. On March 10, 2001 the credit union was granted a community charter and the name was changed to First Choice Community Credit Union, Inc. The Erie Lackawanna Credit Union merged with First Choice Community Credit Union on June 25, 2005 and the Sherwil Credit Union merger with First Choice took place on April 22, 2013. We are state chartered and regulated by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). First Choice Community Credit Union, Inc. is located in Niles, Ohio. We have six full time employees and more than 2500 members. Membership is open to any person that lives, works, worships or attends school in Niles, Lordstown, Weathersfield Township, Girard, Howland, Hubbard, Cortland or Champion.
