Georgia Power Valdosta Federal Credit Union was granted a federal charter in March 1958 to serve the financial needs of the Georgia Power Company employees and their families across the southern tier of the state. It remained a single sponsored occupationally bonded credit union until 1995. By the end of that year, it had converted to a multiple employee group charter. It currently boasts over 60 employee groups in its field of membership.
