Lanier Federal Credit Union, (LFCU) was chartered in 1969 as a non-profit financial cooperative to serve employees of Chicopee Manufacturing Company, a division of Johnson & Johnson. In 1999, Gainesville City Employees Federal Credit Union requested to merge with Lanier FCU, allowing LFCU to offer its products and services to Gainesville City employees. This merger initiated our first branch office located in Gainesville. As the need continued to grow, in late 2003, the National Credit Union Administration granted LFCU a 'Community' charter to enable the Credit union to provide financial services to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school within Hall County, GA.
