As TTCU grew, we began to acquire more SEGs (Select Employee Groups) to include employees of the Tuscaloosa County school system, Shelton State (the former technical schools), Stillman College, Tuscaloosa area private schools, the Hale County school system, Tuscaloosa County Park and Recreation, the Pickens County school system, and others. In 2002, we obtained a community charter which opened our membership to all of Tuscaloosa county as well as five additional surrounding counties - Bibb, Fayette, Greene, Hale, and Pickens.
