Credit unions are member-owned, not-for-profit institutions. Therefore, all surplus is returned to the members in the form of dividends after adequate reserve is established. W.I.S.E. Credit Union is run by a 13 member board of directors. These directors are volunteers from both the public school districts and the parochial school that we serve. Savings are insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Association (The NCUA). The NCUA is the most secure of all government insurance funds. All savings accounts as W.I.S.E. Credit Union carry up to $3,000.00 in Life Savings Insurance. This insurance is paid by the credit union. Dividends are paid quarterly. On 09/30/18 dividends were paid as follows:
