Since it's inception on November 9, 1949, the goal of Yuma County Federal Credit Union has been to meet the needs of our community. We believe that bigger is not necessarily better; however, as we continue to offer competitive rates on investments and loans we have found that we are serving more of our community each year. Yuma County Federal Credit Union is a non-profit organization owned and governed by its members. One of the characteristics which distinguish credit unions from other financial institutions is the volunteer Board of Directors. These individuals serve without compensation and devote many hours to the welfare of the credit union. Board members are elected by the membership each year at the credit union annual meeting. Each member has one vote regardless of the number of shares he or she has in the credit union. Some of the duties of the board include long-range planning, policy review, budget decisions and consideration of the new programs, rates and facilities.
