Ford L'Anse Employees Federal Credit Union started in the living room of Graydon R. and Marcelline Newland on February 29, 1952. The charter was applied for by members of the United Auto Workers Local 958. In October 1968, the name changed, to what we are known today as, the Baraga County Federal Credit Union. Membership is open to persons who live or work in Baraga County and their relatives.
