Skyward Credit Union was chartered on July 16, 1941, as a not-for-profit corporation under Kansas State law, to accept savings and make loans for those who qualify for membership. Member share savings deposits are insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), an arm of the NCUA, totally independent of the bank and savings association insurance funds.
