The credit union was originally chartered in 1947 to serve the City of Austin employees, and was then known as Austin Municipal Federal Credit Union. Today, we're one of the largest and strongest credit unions in the state of Texas. We have over $840 million in assets, and serve more than 88,000 members. Our community charter is open to anyone that lives or works in the five county area (Travis, Hays, Williamson, Bastrop, Caldwell).
