Water and Power Community Credit Union was formed in 1936 by a group of employees of the Department of Water and Power in downtown Los Angeles. The credit union expanded its field of membership in 2018 to reflect its evolving membership and to provide a better banking alternative with a human-centered approach and better overall value. Water and Power Community Credit Union currently has assets over $700 million and nearly 38,000 members.
